Self-portraits at 100 years old

After discussion of ways that the 100th Day of School is celebrated in elementary school culture, students in ARTE 329: Art for Elementary School created cut paper self portraits of what they imagine they might look like when they are 100 years old. We discussed facial proportions and where people get wrinkles as they age. We also discussed our personal interactions and assumptions about people of this age, and what we might enjoy doing at this age. These self portraits can serve as teacher examples for the students when they have their own classrooms.
